Cambridge Mathematics of Information in Healthcare
Umar's research aims to improve risk stratification of patients with atherosclerotic carotid artery disease. It lies at the interface of vascular medicine, surgery, magnetic resonance imaging, medical physics and bioengineering. At CMIH, his work will focus on developing tools for radiomics-based assessment of carotid atherosclerosis to be used for its multiomics analyses.
