Cambridge Mathematics of Information in Healthcare

The CMIH Annual Engagement Event took place at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences in Cambridge on Tuesday 26th July 2022. This academic event brought together those working in mathematical healthcare data analytics across the UK, including academic, clinical, and industrial users with mathematicians working in similar areas.

We were pleased to host 17 speakers, including Early Career Researchers, talking about the key theme of the CMIH Hub, which is the development of robust and clinical applicable algorithms for analysing healthcare data in an integrated fashion. It included talks that highlight open challenges and successes from CMIH Hub researchers and presented other potential collaborative opportunities, as well as projects being developed elsewhere related to healthcare data analytics. In addition, we heard from partner EPSRC Hubs for Mathematical Sciences in Healthcare, who were introduced at last year’s launch event

All talks can be watched again on YouTube and the full programme (with slides to the talks) can be found here.

In the video below, CMIH Hub co-directors Professor Carola-Bibiane Schönlieb and Professor Sir John Aston talk about the mission, research objectives, and the mathematical challenges of the CMIH Hub.
